This questions has been burbelling in my mind of late, but for the serious collectors out there - and I am for this purpose defining "serious collector" as someone with more than 500 pens - how many pens do you normally cycle through in a year. I think David I. and Roger W. have both commented that they only use a handful. I know Sterling Picard (who does not post here but does at Lion and Pen) uses most of his collection, and it seems that DocNib uses quite a few.

So how many pens do you use when you have more than 500 in your collection?

PS: I am not trying to get into a debate about who is or is not a "serious collector". The 500 pen definition is just for the purpose of the question.
