Hi,
I have Pilot Capless with steel nib. I was thinking about replacing it - it is too dry for my taste and I can't make the nib to be wetter somehow.
Because I don't have any idea for somekind of special nib - I've never had the oppurtunity to try stub or italic and don't know if such nib will suite me - I would like to buy standard round nib. And here is the question: are there any major differences between steel M nib and the 14K gold M nib for VP/Capless? Will I benefit from the swap or is the difference so small that I won't even notice?
Thanks!
Y.

I was under the impression that you can't get Pilot Capless/VP nibs that are made of steel... I thought they were either 14k or 18k gold, although some may be rhodium plated to have a white appearance.
Someone else confirm this?

The base models, sold only in Japan, have steel nibs. See Ujuku's website:
http://ujuku.jpn.ph/kaimono/penframe.htmI believe the model is FCN-1MR which he describes as having an "special alloy" nib.

Correct, that's my pen.
Any opinions?

Hi,
These are not very wet by nature, but can be made wet.
I would be glad to adjust yours by the way.
