Is there also an A4 size Moleskine notebook like the pocket notbook? I do not mean the softcover cahier type.

The large Moleskine hardcover notebooks (both the conventional and the Reporter style) are 5.25" by 8.25" -- not sure what that is in cm, but it's quite a bit smaller than A4. There are no A4 size Moleskine hardcover notebooks.

I think that's roundabout A3, which is half the size of A4.

Isn't half of A4, A5? My husband has a huge drawing board which is A0, so I can only assume the number goes up as the size goes down. I could be wrong, of course

You're not alone! I'm here in the UK and a woman I do a lot of posters for consistently makes the same mistake.......and it makes sense - bigger number, bigger size - took me ages to get it straight!

A0 is the biggest - all the other numbers show how many times you have to cut an A0 sheet to get them. I don't know if that's intentional or just a coincidence, but it might help with memory.
