Let's face it, as pen collectors we are a bit anal by nature. At one time or another, it hits us that we really need a decent display case for some of our nicer pens. I looked far and wide, but most that i found were either the wrong color (i really wanted black wood), far too much money, or held too few pens. Then, I stumbled across this one; not only is the black wood in a fairly muted matte finish (to not detract from the pens), but the walnut wood inserts are pretty cool instead of the typical velvet covered ones. On the right side, the tray lifts up for storage of spare parts or cartridges. All in all, this is a great display case for the money!

Just wanted to share my good deal, and if anyone else is interested in finding one of these, PM me for details.

Doug

duh: to keep this FP related, the pens/pencils are Sheaffer Autographs with solid 14k trim, and the other set is a NOS Sheaffer Crest with 14k gold filled caps.

oh, and may i add......i'l like to curse PeteWK and our great moderator Jim for leading down this dark path of Autograph addiction. laugh.gif After reading Jim's incredible article on this pen series, and seeing some of Pete's previous posts, i'm now hooked. I've accumulated these pens over the last month, with no end in sight..... cool.gif
