If you are going to compare Clairefontaine to Moleskine, you're out of luck. Clairefontaine is the clear winner. This paper has the virtue of low glare and good consistency. It comes in several different varieties, most prominently French lined, which is perfect for the accountant in your life. So far I have found it to be the best I have used, but then again I have also never used Miguel L. or some of the other exotic brands. You will not be able to tell any difference between this and black/red.

I have not had Clairefontaine paper that was different, though that doesn't prove anything. I have used several sizes of notebooks, and some Triomphe letter paper.
(Of course it will have different lines on it, and come in different sizes, but it's all the same paper stock, isn't it?)
I've never used Black & Red.

I've been using Clairefontaine for years and the quality has been consistent since the day I started. It's much better than anything else I've ever tried. Smooth, opaque. Wonderful.
The Moleskine paper is smooth and very fine; not good if you want to write on both sides of the sheet, but not horrible.

Clairefontaine is significantly smoother than Black n Red, and a little lighter in weight. I have never noticed differences between their Triomphe paper (comes in a tablet, either ruled or blank) and their notebooks.
I don't think there is anything better than Clairefontaine for FPs. That is a subjective statement and there are many who do not agree. (Otherwise this forum would be pretty dull.)
