Seeking suggstion before buying a blue Parker 45. I have not ventured into Parkers much, only a couple of Vectors only.
So any wise suggestion and users feedback will help me. rolleyes.gif
Thanks.

My Parker 45's are pretty good pens. They do seem to dry out faster than some others, but they write reliably and well.

they just gotta come to some pen shows! these things come up.

Planning to complete your shoot right after the LI show this weekend :-)

As an aside, i think i picked up an intact complete proto-VP. Have to show you next time we get together.

The 45 is one of the best mid range pens that Parker have made IMHO. I used a 45 Flighter for years until somebody offered me a Sonnet in a swap, now the Sonnet IS a nice pen, but I wish I had kept the 45 sick.gif

The current models are great, but the nibs run a bit broad, if you like a broadish nib like me, then go for a medium, if not a fine is more like a fine/medium, but great all the same.

If you can find a vintage one with a 14k gold nib, then they are V Good eureka.gif

But you won't go far wrong with one

The stiff nib won't feel that much different from Vectors though..

But nevertheless, they are reliable workhorses smile.gif

Thanks Jim, points well metioned. I will go for it!
Kissing, I think you are right, but I shall confirm after use!
