I finally won my first Parker Vac. No idea if it is going to require an overhaul or not, I'm assuming it will. The seller looks relatively reputable too, and the Price was right. Problem is, I'm having trouble identifying the model of vac it is. It seems to defy most of the set rules for a vac. Grey with gold furnature, single tassie with feather clip, and a two toned nib! Someone help please! Here's the link to the 'bay auction: Parker Vacumatic auction

OH, so your the sucker that outbid me.... tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif
What you got is a nice looking 3rd Generation Vacumatic.... I have 4 of them. It appears to have the correct two tone nib and appears to be in nice shape.
Figure on having to have the filler restored... If you don't have the tools to do it contact me back channel.
All the ones I have are very nice writing pens...

You will have a very nice pen there.
You got it at a good price, too.
I have found vacumatics almost as compelling as "51"s.
When you get them cleaned up and shining, they are just beautiful.
They were top of the line American pens during late Depression and WW2 years.

The last two 3rd generations I got did not require new diaphragms to get them working. Ideally you change them as a matter of course, 'cause failure while full of ink can be a real mess.

Welcome aboard! We vac fans don't get as nutty as the "51"ers "Assimilated by the Borg" and that stuff!
