Can the Pelikan Epoch be fitted with a converter? I just bought a few of them and think they're really great looking pens, and they write really well. But the "cartridge-only" thing is a bit of a bummer.

I haven't tried it myself, but I've read, that you can fill a converter outside the Epoch and then put it into the cartridge holder. A Pelikan converter should have the lengtht of two short int. carts, after all.
