I watched this eBay auction but never had any intention of bidding (seller in Thailand :ph34r: and with 0 feedback for selling ; his feedbacks were from buying.) and I am curious if the the clip is correct for this non wedding band 51 Flighter. My question is did Parker ever make a non wedding band chrome plated clip for the 51 Flighter?

"All 51 Flighters have gold-filled trim, with early models having a single cap band, which does not appear on 51 Flighters made in the late 1950s. A plain cap Flighter is not a mismatch or a frankenpen."
Which suggests that the lack of the wedding band is not an issue but the chrome clip does not appear to be original. This came up a while ago as someone wanted an all chrome flighter and the suggestion was to find a non wedding band flighter and replace the clip with a chrome one... I do believe, however, that models without the cap band are still relatively rare.

You'd have to be crazy to buy from someone in another country with zero feedback as a seller, at least unless you went through an escrow service.
As is, the pen is clearly not all factory original (at least for US production), as the shell is green, not black, and the cap is quite late (marked "51") yet the filler housing is earlier and the two-tone clutch ring earlier yet.

Some time ago, Someone in the FPN won the pen from this seller but Never complete the deal due to many reasons (Sept or OCT). This was the same pen. I did not to complete the deal too during Aug 06 because I chicken OUT. Be very Careful, that is all I can comments. Take Care.
