Hi, I have acquired my first-ever Parker pen. No, it's not a "51". smile.gif

Yes, this is the Eversharp Big E, from after Parker bought Eversharp and apparently decided to use it to showcase some of their more outrageous designs.

It came with an empty "Super Quink" cartridge. Is this the same as the Parker cartridges I can buy today, or is it a weird size? Where can I get cartridges, or better yet a converter, that will fit this pen?

I rinsed it out and tried writing with the remains of the old ink, and I love way this fine nib writes... So I'd like to get it working properly.

All I know for sure is that it doesn't look like a standard International cartridge...

Thanks for your help.

The box says big-E but this is not big-E (or super-E as some say) but it is a
"10,000 word" pen smile.gif Same cartridges as today's Parker.

And if a Parker cartridge works in it, so would Parker converters.

Most pen shops would have it for sale. Otherwise you could easily get one from various online sellers such as swisherpens or on eBay.

You're right, it's exactly like your picture in the other thread, including the Parker logo on the cap opposite the clip.

Definitely not a Big E.

This pen just got more interesting! And glad to hear it will take a current Parker cartridge. I'll pick up a converter.

Thanks everyone!
