I've got a couple of Imperials that have loose caps. I'm not sure of the terminology here, but I think the problem is that the three little buttons on the barrel that engage the slip cap don't stick out far enough. What can I do about this?

There is an ongoing thread on precisely this topic both here and in Sheaffer forum with advice from several people. i haven't figured out the links thing but the thread starter was badrsi.
