I've got a "51" Aerometric that was a "gamble" on ebay and it is mostly OK except the sac is punctured. What is a source for replacement sacs for the "51"?

Are all the Aerometric variants the same size, i.e., use the same sac?

What is Pli-Glas, really? And what do we replace it with? A silicone sac? What size?

All advice appreciated and I'll report on my progress or lack thereof.

Wood Bin has them and they make it easy, just choose the P51 Sac (s/h is only $3)

One of Nathan Tardiff's webpages mentions Parker 51 sacs, but he seems a little busy to go around selling just a few. I think he even put ribs in them.

I forgot the name of the guy who is Wood Bin. He's where I got my chrome Sailor Chalana.

The Pen Sac company has something. I'm not sure what material. If they're black rubber, that doesn't seem as much fun to me. But they're in Carlsbad.

Martin Smith sells some plyglas sacs, but in my opinion they're a bit small for the 51, and are more appropriate for the Parker 17.

I usually use the silicone sacs when I have to replace one. I'm not certain about the size since it's been a while, and don't have a pen in front of me, but I think that a 16 would be right.

Giovanni has 51 sacs ... I bought a couple from him and they work like a dream...

David Nishimura sells either complete aerometric replacement units or just the coupler and sac for $15 on his website.

Use the below link or paste it into your browser.

Andy,

If it were me, I'd to with David Nishimura above. I've used lots of his parts with great success and a very nice fellow to deal with.

Alternately, just up the road, Peter at the Pen Sac Co. does advertize 51 sacs too:

Steve, why buy a complete assembly when sacs for 51 are readily available and cheap...
I recently bought 6 from Giovanni and they could not look more like the originals.
I have not dealt with Pen Sac.... but I understand they have a good product.
