Found this Sheaffer Jr. red vein silver grey marbled in the wild.

Lambrou's FPOW has one pictured and calls it a 3-25 Jr. The nib and feed are the the question. Looking at other 3-25 pens the feed looks to be original, but the nib is not a 3-25 nib.

Can anyone point me to a source for a 3-25 nib to fit this pen. It goes nicely with the Senior that was also found in the wild.

Thanks for the help. cool.gif

Hi Rich. The pen is a 1932-34 as you may already know. As for the nib, does the pen actually say Junior anywhere on it? If so it should use a "Junior" nib.

Hello Pete,

Nope, no markings on the pen other than the personal inscription:
Richard Rover
above the body inscription:
WA Sheaffer Pen Co.
Fort Madison Iowa USA
Patent D-78.795

clip inscription
Sheaffer

Concluded it was a Junior solely by matching the pen size and color to an image so identified in Lambrou's FPOW.

Thanks for your input. Did not know about the Junior nib. Is there a 3-25 Junior as well as a 3-25?

Regards,
Richard

Rich;

The pen is not a Jr. it is a 3-25. The clip says Sheaffer'S not Sheaffer Jr. and the small diameter and small band make it a 3-25. Juniors use junior nibs not 3-25's anyway, but yours is not. If it has a 3 nib that's OK too. 3 nibs take over from 3-25's.
