The local Walmart carries 200 sheet packs of Ampad Gold Fibre "Fine Papers" in 8 assorted colors. Price is about $5. Having had good experience with the Gold Fibre legal pads, I bought one to try. The colors are: Gray Marble, Blue Marble, Granite Gray, Granite White, Granite Rose, Granite Cream, Parchment Celadon, Parchment White. So far they seem to have the same characteristics as the legal pads, smooth surface, no feathering, nice weight. The granite colors, other than rose, and the parchments are subtle enough for some business use. The marbles are OK, but I'll give them ot my teenage daughter.

IF I can finish restoring the PC from a hard drive crash last night, I'll post scans.

Is it a pad with a gummed edge, or are they loose leaf?

So you get all the colors in one pack?
jsonewald
Loose sheets, like a package of printer paper. All colors are in one pack, 25 sheets per color.

Interesting, I will keep my eyes open for those.

Found another one at lunch, also at Walmart: Ampad Fine Paper "Textures of Ivory". This one doesn't say Gold Fibre, but it feels and writes the same as the other paper.

This package has 100 sheets: 25 each of Granite, Linen, Opaque, and Parchment. Price is about $4.

The Linen is especially nice. It works well with the Pelikan 605/Levenger Cobalt, Waterman Charleston/Waterman Black, and Hero 110/Noodler's Lux Blue+Polar Black I have at work today.

Thanks! I'm a real Gold Fibre legal pad fan, going through 1-3/week. I'll go buy some.

PS--I went to my Super Wal-Mart today and they don't have it there--

I've found it at 2 local stores, but it wasn't displayed very prominently.

I think I've seen them at my Walmart. They look very nice, and if ever i run out of stationery i'll buy them.
