Greetings all,

I just received my brand new NOS Sheaffer Balance II in Cobalt Glow with the broad nib, (with the Millennium Gift Set). I think I may take fjf's advice and send away to Sheaffer for a narrower nib. At any rate, I was looking over the pen's unique resin and was wondering if it contained fiberglass.

Does anyone here know for sure if it does or doesn't? I'm referring to the pens in the "Glow Series," (Cobalt, Crimson, Jade, etc.), I know the basic colors do not.

From the way that these things crack, no! I forget whether it's acrylic or acetate, but no fiberglass in the plastic.

No glass it seems, but his pen shure glows!. It is a very nice resin. I've got a cobalt, a jade and an aspen so far and all are beautiful.

You're right! Although I just got it a couple of days ago, it is one of the few pens I own that I just can't stop looking at. I find myself looking at the pen more than what I am writing- this could spell disaster!

Sean--where would you send yours off to? I've got the Crimson Glow and love it. I have a regular Balance II that I would like to get a nib switch, and don't know where to send it. Thanks!
