Full Version: Fashion Converter?

I recently picked up a Sheaffer Fashion (my first Sheaffer), and now I am trying to figure out which Sheaffer converter (if any) I can use with this pen.

One website I looked at said that there was a Fashion 1 which uses a "slim" converter, and then a Fashion 2 which uses the more common "classic" Sheaffer converter. Other websites I looked at did not mention the Fashion at all. In addition, I was not able to find any information about the difference between Fashion 1 and Fashion 2, so I don't really know which kind of Fashion I own.

I'm looking at PenHero right now and I see the various types of Sheaffer converters. I would really like to be able to use a Sheaffer piston converter on this pen if that is possible.

I have included some pictures to help describe this pen. If anyone knows which type of converter it uses, slim or classic, and if the piston converter will also work, I will be happy to know. If you need more angles of the pen, I will be happy to post more pictures. I can also try to measure the diameter too if that is necessary.

Thanks for looking!

Sheaffer's standard squeeze converter fits most Fashions. They are no longer made but a number of places sell them. I've ordered quite a few from Pendemonium. Jim may chime in and let us know if he stocks them at Pen Hero.

Hi Rabbit,
I too recently aquired a Fashion. (Mine has a tough Matt laquer finish).
I took it to my local penshop and fitted it with a standard Sheaffer piston converter.
I dont beleive it is a slim converter.

Excellent! Thanks for letting me know that the piston converter works. I hope to pick one up soon now. smile.gif

yes the standard sheaffer piston/squeeze converter fits without any issues. I have a green Fashion works just fine with it.
