Does anyone have experience with their journals and the paper that they use? Before I spend a great amount of cash on a journal I am trying to find out if the paper is favorable. I am just looking for something with that rustic or aged look. Thank you for any input.

I have a leather bound Èccolo journal-- The papers are ivory colored and lined, and not that special. FP inks skip on the lines. I think the paper also makes my strokes look thicker, but the inks haven't bled through to the other side.
Here's a cool looking journal I found googling around:

I purchased one a little over a year ago as a gift for a friend - it was very nice looking - I liked it a lot. Unfortunately she has never used it - Other than being aestheticly pleasing I can't remark on the paper quality. I'm always tempted to get one for myself, but the cash never seems to be there.

I would highly recommend a look at
Renaissance Art. I have one of their Moleskine journal covers that I absolutely love, but I love the look of ther custom journals as well. I would think about asking if they would send you a sheet or two of their paper to try with you favorite pen and ink.
