Hi all,
Just got myself a fountain pen and pencil set off ebay, was wondering what it was (yeah I bought it without identifying it, it wasn't expensive).
Both the pen and pencil are plain yellow plastic with silver trim. They have Conway Stewart written on the clip in script. The pen is larger than the pencil.
The fountain pen has a gold nib which says Flowline Medium. The filler is a clear sac with a metal U-shaped press-bar (not sure what the proper terminology for this should be).
The pencil is a propelling pencil, the lead extends when the front bit is rotated. The body opens to reveal an eraser and extra leads.
Any help from the experts on this board would be appreciated, thanks!

I don't think the pen has any particular identification, it certainly comes from the period immediately before CS ceased trading in 1972 when the quality of the products dropped dramatically.
Jonathan's CS encyclopedia has a picture of a yellow flowline nibbed pen which seems to be the same as yours
here, scroll about one third of the way for the relevant section.

I still have one of these in black.
I bought it for school in 1974 when I was nine and is my first FP.
Cannot use it anymore as no cartidges or converters fit it and as an eye dropper it leaks.
much sentimental value though!

Sorry about hijacking this thread but I'm new and can't figure out how to start a new one.
Can anyone identify the pen above? I don't know what possessed me to purchase it without knowing anything about it. I hope it's worth the $20 I paid.
Thanks,
Tom Christensen

This isn't Conway Stewart, vintage or modern!
I suggest you post the same message in 'Writing Instruments', where you may have more luck. To start a new topic, just click on 'Writing Instruments' from the main index page and you should see a 'New Topic' button towards the top right of the page that shows the list of topics within that forum.
