Full Version: PIC. The exquisite charm vintage pen Catalogs!

Mentioned below is an original 1941 Parker catalog pulling $400. Probably about right, but "right" is hard to pin down on items rarely seen and hunted often by the most serious of pen collectors, assuming they know of any given item for sale at any given moment. A similar 1941 catalog recently pulled far more, sold to a fellow who tends to bid aggressively for such things.

Catalogs are among the most cherished primary sources of information about vintage pens. They have an artistic charm that to many transcends even their lofty value as data. They are harder to find often than many of the pens shown within. Such info is key for one who wishes- for example- not just to own a Parker Vacumatic or three, but who wants to be a full blown Vacumaniac, VacQuack or what have you.

Below are couple images of catalogs and such from my own wee hoard of items. And, this of course does not count the cherished catalog copies which contain all (or most, as some are not done life sized) of that critical data collectors use to learn about their chosen collectable. Do scroll to see all the images.
