I might be able to pick up a Pelikan Epoch 360 FP for a good price, but I would like to use bottle ink. Does anyone know from experience if the Pelikan converter works with this one? I would also like to know your thoughts on the quality of the nib, if you have any feedback on that as well.
Thank you,

If I can trust what I've read elsewhere, a converter (= 2 x cartridge) fits into an Epoch FP, but you have to fill it before you put it into the pen.
The nibs are said to be nails.

Thanks!
I got the BP and the roller in this style as a gift sometime back. I don't think I really like nibs that are that stiff but I may buy it anyway just to complete the set. Hopefully it will be Pelikan-smooth despite being a nail...

Does anyone have pictures of one that's been retro-fitted with a converter? I've got one and as I'm looking at the "guide", I'll call it, that holds the cartridges, I'm somewhat perplexed. Do you need to remove this thing, or will the converter sit inside it?

The Epoch should hold 2 int. short carts or 1 int. long cart, so a converter is just used as a cart after filling outside. (maybe a provisoric spacer can be usefull to for secure fitting of the converter mouth, if a converter has not the exact size

)
I only found this pic on Stylophiles site

Is it a universal converter fit or something special?

- 2x int. short carts = 1x int. long cart (pic see my last post) = 1x int. standard converter —> if one of these fit, the others would fit too.
- In the pic you see one int. long cart.
- the Epoch comes without any (specific) converter.

The standard International converter is about 3 mm longer than a long cart, and it may not fit. A Waterman converter does fit; I had this verified just today by a client who tried it at my suggestion.

Hi,
If two cartridges fit back to back, then the standard converter should fit.

I have an Epoch and like it very much. I don't use a converter. I've considered using a convertor but I have not tried it. I use PR cartridges in my pen and the nib is ridgid. It is a very good pen and has become one I carry with me every day.

I'm looking forward to getting mine back from Chartpak in the next few days. I bought it super-cheap ($14 brand new!!!) and Chartpak swapped the Medium for an Extra-Fine. Can't wait to start using it!
