Someone asked me to X-post this here from PT so here are the photos.

Much to my surprise I've fallen for Sheaffer pens, especially pens with Triumph nibs. Those nibs seem to be very forgiving of my eratic handwriting. Even more to my pleasant surprise I've found I'm throughly enjoying the Lady Sheaffer Skripsert pens and they seem to be my "potato chip", I can't have just one.

So here is my prize(so far) Lady Sheaffer Skripsert in the desk set version.

The base is made by Lenox china especially for Sheaffer. This is the Golden Moire.

Given the time period that the Lady Sheaffer Skripserts were produced (1958-1964), it's probably very appropriate to the times. smile.gif I found a quote that, for me, fits ....

On October 26, 1963, President John F. Kennedy said at a speech at Amherst College: "I look forward to an America that will not be afraid of grace and beauty that will reward achievements in the arts as well as achievement in business or statecraft".

In any event, I certainly am enjoying them! biggrin.gif

Enjoy it Betty. The lady desk sets are beautiful.
Here are some of mine. I am missing a pen, and I think I have a pink one like yours somewhere in the basement.
I used to have all my pens in the basement, until my wife started asking to put them some of them around the house.
The skripserts were the first ones to get the honor to be invited go ... upstairs smile.gif

Oh now you've done it, Antonios! I heard my husband banging his head on the keyboard when I told him to look at the photos of the desk sets you have! Thankfully, he is actually just as interested in them as I am. smile.gif9

They are truly beautiful, thank you so much for giving me a chance to see what some of them look like. You know, if the pink one in your basement has been banished, you can send it my way. biggrin.gif

I do have a question about the desk pens themselves. The ones you have seem to all be of the Golden Moire finish, like mine is, have you seen any desk pens in any of the other designs?

Thanks again!

those are really really cute! i like pens with elaborate engravings, but they're rather hard to find.
