I was surprised at the price this Teal Blue Aerometric sold for ($127):

I have a couple in this color, but they are all Specials. Is the conventional Parker "51" in Teal Blue really rare?

I think 2 people got in a bidding war. It is a nice pen, but I don't think it is work $127.50

Thanks, Bob. Maybe that's it. I just realized I do have a standard "51" in Teal Blue. It is available to anyone here at the bargain price of $100!

The only Teal Blue that is a bit less common, note I did not say rare, is the English Aero with a Rolled Silver Cap, but then you are still only looking at a 10 -15% premium over say a black pen with a Rolled Gold Cap I would think.

However if it came from the Benz collection Bob, then it would have to be worth upwards of $600
