Hello all. I have a Pen For Men III with an enthralling Stub nib. I've been looking around for more to play with and have hit a wall. I've seen quite a few Broad nibs out there but no Stubs. Does anyone know the frequency with which Sheaffer made them or were they just a special order item?

Thanks,

I believe the stub is rare (but I'm by no means expert).

The instruction paper that came with the PFM box that I just received says that you could send the pen in to have a custom specialty nib put on it at the factory.

Ahh, that makes lots of sense. The information I've seen on Penhero etc have Sheaffer advertisements with the stub nib included as an option, but that doesn't mean the average storefront actually carried them in stock. I'm thinking about getting several other PFM and just switching out the nib unit as the spirit moves me.

I forgot to add, I'm sure a stationer could order a PFM with a non-standard nib for a customer, in whichever model and color. If only there were more of them out there! smile.gif I'd like an OB, please...
