Here's another sheet of green inks, scanned and color corrected. The writing is done with a offset copperplate dip nib, rinsed and dried between different inks. The large strokes are done with a Q-tip.

The paper is Advantage brand ink jet paper 24 pound weight and 94 brightness.

Strangely L&R and I have only one of the same shade and brand of green inks.

Enjoy /:)

Here's the same sample sheet after 10 minutes in cold water.

The black ink at the top is Noodler's Polar Black.

Thanks for posting these colors & the water test results! Now I know what will happen to my PR Sherwood green if it gets wet...pretty much totally disappears <_<

I do love that Sherwood Green. Actually all my PR colors have been satisfyingly vibrant.

I think the Swishmix Lakeshore Spruce is a great ink as well. It dries more quickly, is pretty tolerant of all the papers I've slung it on, and it's permanent. Last time I checked, Swishers had the eyedropper size on sale. Or maybe I should just buy some of those vials and start trading it so I can convert everyone else. biggrin.gif It's not like I'm going to be able to use up those 4.5 ounces anytime soon.

For information, in case people don't know: The top one (Herbin) is the same colour as the unscented Vert Pré. Lovely colour, though a bit pale for many tasks.

Thanks Andrew, I didn't know that. If you had to choose which one to buy, I'd recommend the scented version. It's a really nice apple fragrance, free of the 'chemical' smell so many ink scents suffer from. Actually, all of the J. Herbin Les Subtiles series smell fabulous. No wonder the French have such a good reputation for perfumes. biggrin.gif

I also wanted to thank you for all the ink comparisons. There are many colors covered that I am intererested in and/or shades that haven't been reviewed yet -- it's helpful (and fun) to see how they look in action! The water tests are great also.

Sorry folks, I'm way over my attachment limit. You can still see the scans here:
