Full Version: Parker 21 indeed

Dan the man
Hello folks,

Just got a Parker 21 of the bay, burgundy and another color. Had a look at Richard's site, didn't see this version and color. Anybody can verify if this one is indeed a 21, or some sort of hybrid. I like the way it looks, my first 21.

Thanks.

Daniel

Daniel,
The pen has the wrong section on it. The section should be the same color as the body. IMHO, it is definately a franken21

Hey Tom,

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well, win a couple and loose a couple. Any idea if the two sections are just different colours of a 21, or is one of the sections from a different pen? Any idea?
I should have done some homework before purchasing it, I went on looks alone.

Thanks for the advice

They are both from 21s, just different 21s.
The 21 body and sections are not the same as the 51 and don't interchange.

Great, that is not so bad then, at least they are from the same kind, could eventually set it right, not that it bothers me too much now.

I am a little upset with the seller, should not sell it as a "special color" if it is a franken 21 as you put it <_<

Thanks for the info.

Personally Daniel, I would contact the seller and demand a refund... the worst you are out the postage...
You can get a nice 21 or even a nice 51 for a lot less than you paid for that pen...

I'm not sure- Have you got this pen in hand yet?

If not, wait 'til you get it before you scorch the seller.

Granted, "special color" is BS. No seller should pass off a seriously modified pen that way. 'Course maybe they really didn't know it was modified.

But you may like the pen despite it's unconventional makeup--- or even because of it. If it writes well and works well, what the heck?

Jack, will wait for it before I torch the dude. wink.gif What gets me is the fact that I may have paid too much for it, I should have checked with the Gurus here (Old griz and gang) before jumping into the deal. I'm relatively new at this great hobby, so many friendly and knowledeable folks here could have advised me.eureka.gif

Whatever, maybe I'll like it the way it is and simply count my losses.

Namaste

Daniel
