Full Version: ADOC, any good?

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these things. If anyone has used them, I have three questions (two of which are probably guessable).

First and foremost, is the paper FP friendly?
Second, does the 'unique binding' system actually work/work well, or is it just a pain in the neck?
Third, is there any perforation between the ragged binding part and the actual page itself? As in, can I get rid of the nasty ragged part and actually turn a paper in to my teacher, etc..

Whoops, I have a fourth question... If they are any good, does anyone know any online (preferably US) dealers that stock the top-bound ones?

Thanks - Brian

The Daily Planner carries a few items. It looks like Levenger's Circa. ADOC does offer something Levenger does not though, a standard notebook style lined paper. Rollabind has it, too. Lots of choices!

Thanks! Daily Planner was actually where I first saw them, and they caught my attention... However they don't seem to carry the top-bound notepads, which is a deal-breaker for me for school... I might just get one of the side-bound A5 notebooks anyway to try the stuff out, as I do use those for my poetry.

You can get a punch to create the holes and use any paper you like. The binding system does work pretty well, esp. with a heavy paper, although if you pull a given page in and out a lot, the binding edge does get a little ratty.

Don't know about a perforation--the Levenger ones usually don't have a perforation, although some products (at least one, anyway, an old 3x5 card which was quite nice but I believe is discontinued) do.
