I have seen several descriptions of parker caps indicating that the cap is coin silver. I am not exaclty sure what that means in terms of content. I would assume it is less than sterling silver, but does anyone know for sure?

Sterling is .925 fine silver, usually alloyed with copper. Coin silver is .900 fine, usually alloyed with copper or zinc.

And it's called "coin" silver because it is the percentage of silver used in the old silver coins. Bored artisan/sailors hammered silver quarters into rings in the South Pacific during WWII. My Dad still wears his....
