I have obviously been here before because my username was recognized, but I'm sure it has been a very very long time. Hopefully some of you will recognize my username (as I recognize some I see here in the postings).
So I just want to say hello again and reacquaint myself with everyone.
I'm glad to see this forum has been so successful!

Hi Elaine,
You are not one of those that I remember from years past (and please excuse my memory if I should), but based on the username I have here, this is the evolution of its predecessor the Wandering Snail (or creeping Turtle or whatever it was that was originally started in Chicago a few years ago). I hardly remember anyone's names (Shame on me), but I do recognize some of the usernames (as I said before) as I scroll through the messages. I was a moderator back on that Snail forum before the founding sailor moved to Italy (what WAS his name anyway). Interestingly I don't see a username that looks like his anywhere.
Back in those "old" days we had started a few travelling journals, some of which were supposed to be returned to me, but I don't recall any of them ever making their way back here to Maryland.
Anyway, this Forum is REALLY large (content-wise) and with almost 3000 members I can imagine it would be easy to get "lost in it!" I practically don't know where to [re]start.
Take Care and thanks for the welcome,
Tom

Welcome, Tom!
I've only been here since June. I'm beginning to learn my way around. There's so much good information here!

Of course Debbie! How could I forget you !!?? I hope every thing is good there in NC (that's where you still are right?)

P.S. Debbie, in case you were wondering, that guitar is a 1937 Martin D-28 - probably worth about $50K. I wish it was mine!!!
