Expert 11, glossy black with gold furniture, medium nib---bought because I liked my first one so much
Phileas, black, fine nib---bought after reading good reports on here---also realised that I like the lighter handle of plastic pens

The Gentleman is by far the best of the batch, and the Phileas the lower level.

I just bought my first Waterman, a Phileas demonstrator and I like it quite a bit. It's quite light, has a pleasing shape, and its fine nib is a fairly smooth writer. The barrel is a transparent orange color and it's also my first demonstrator. It's a cool pen and was a very good deal (via Montgomery Stationery via eBay). For now, this has become my favorite "knockaround" pen.

I already listed mine in the how many do you own thread. A couple Phileas fps, a couple Phileas rbs, and a Carene rb.
However, that is not the extent of Waterman pens in our household. My son also has three Waterman fountain pens: a red and a blue Phileas, and a teal CF.

I've got five-- in order of appearance in my life, starting at the right:
-The Graduation Gift. No idea what the model is, got it in 1991, and the threads parted from the section last October. I haven't given up hope of rebuilding, but I want my gluing skills honed some before the attempt;
-The Christmas Gift. A Phileas, medium nib, my wife got me because I was cranking about the first one so much;
-Commando (?) with a pencil, made in Canada, and with an amazingly flexible nib;
-W2 (probably), also Canadian.
-Hemisphere.

I might also have a Graduate, but that thread caused upset, so we'll leave it out of the family photo.

Phileas. My first "good" fountain pen, I've had three identical ones. I lost the first one, then dropped the second one right on the nib "ouch!". The last one I've had for some years and have not lost or dropped. Love it.

My collection contains two Watermans, both of which I will not part with willingly: a Waterman L'Etalon in basketweave sterling silver and 18kt nib in medium, and a Waterman Edson Diamond Black with 18kt nib in medium. Both pens are stunners, and they write perfectly.

Two Watermans - both Exclusives purchased for me as gifts in the early 1990s. Marbleized Green Laquer over brass with gold trim - (one is a rollerball). Nice balance, thin but heavy. Great writers!

1 Gentleman, c. 1989. The stock med. round 18kt nib is very flexible but a little on the dry side.
1 Expert, c. 1999. The stock med. round steel nib is actually one of the smoothest, best shaped nibs I have. It's a little stiff, but the line is wonderfully expressive because of the shape of the point, and the flow is near perfect.

Not really a "collector," don't speak fluid Waterman, no pre-WWII models, just like the pens. My first was a bp in 1961, + or -, that everyone in the office wanted to borrow. Now:
Carene DeLuxe fp, black M
Carene DeLuxe rb, Prussian Blue
(2) Expert fp, black/gold trim, M (one brand new)
Expert rb/ft, black/gold trim
Executive fp, black/gold trim, M
Preface fp, silverplate/gold trim, M
I use them all.

I have the Waterman Exclusive silver plated fp, bp and pencil. I love the styling. I also have one Waterman Centurion which in my opinion is a very cheaply made pen. I also have nine other Exclusives 2 fp's and 7 bp pens. I like all of the pens but am disappointed in the other pencil I have.

I own 4 Watermans.
1 x hemisphere ballpen, nice shimmering green.
1 x of the most basic ballpens in the range, I forget its name. nice metallic blue
1 carene fountain pen in lagoon colour
1 a carene ballpen in matching lagoon colour.
The Carenes have become my pens of choice everyday, eclipsing the other pens in my huge collection. Now thats saying something. The laque colours are great and they write beautifully, especially the carene Fountain pen.
Anyone else love the Carenes as much?

2 Laureat fountain pens - one old style, one new. The Laureat is a wonderful pen - great value for the money!
1 Laureat rollerball. 1 Laureat ball.
2 Expert II ballpoints (one black, one marbled green).
1 gold propelling pencil - don't know the model.
2 Phileas ballpoints, 1 Phileas roller.
I think that's it...they are all good. Of the ball pens, the Waterman refill is one of the best, and very long lasting, like Parker.
Roller refill - ehhh - a mixed bag. Smooth while it lasts, but a kind of short life.

Sold two and bought one.
Sold my biggest and smallest:
I got rid of my Sapphire Blue Edson that I loved to look at and own but never carried or wrote with.
I also sold a little 52 1/2V Red Ripple with a flex nib that was just too small for me to use.
Picked up a sweet Waterman #7 Red Ripple, with red band and Red Keyhole Nib. The nib is fine and vintage style flexible.

I've got six waterman's three of them modern. What I'm really curious about (haven't found a google search on it anyway) is a chased black rubber pen with "18" over "PSF" on the base (or top) of the barrel, nib with Waterman Ideal New York "8" on it, sits 6 inches closed, barrel imprint "PAT'D 1884' "MAY 23, 1899", next line "WATERMAN'S", the IDEAL SYMBOL, "FOUNTAIN-"
next line "PEN.NY.U.S.A." "AUG.4.1903" . This is a monster when posted. I was wondering if it was a display pen or if people actually bought and used it.
Thanks for any advice.
