Just found a USA made Frontier - must admit thought these were all from the UK but maybe some were made early on?

I own a "made in USA" Frontier - with a red/black marble barrel and lustraloy/gold cap. I got it in 1997 or so at a Parker-sponsored school event here in Wisconsin. This was around the time of the Gillette buyout, at which point I believe U.S. production was shut down for mostly UK production (and France, of course). After all that, they just sell it to Sanford... :doh:

I own a red/black Parker Frontier made in USA, too. I bought it in 1996. The year-code that is engraved in the cap says "IY".

Its just I had never seen a USA made one in the UK before. When was it introduced?
