In a batch of nibs, I found a 9550 which is black and not green --- anyone ever come across this before?

Hi William,

I also have a 9550 with a black plastic shaft with otherwise the same markings as your photo.

Maybe we are both rich?

Mine came out of an over-priced mis-described ebay buy so it would be good to profit in some way.

I've got a 9556 with a black base. I don't think it means anything especially, and doubt it affects the value of the nib.

9668, 9556, 9550

So they're a little unusual, but not unheard of.

They do make a dark pen look better IMO.
