This is my own brew which had a higher ratio of mix compared to My Omas
blue/black mix. Sorry the pix are not the best but at least I got to show the
shading of light blue and dark blue.
Nice ink to mix with out getting purple tones.
Also, this review was done about 2 weeks ago and is the last thing I wrote with
my Van Gogh Maxi which is packed up to get sent out and ground to a cursive
italic.
Sketch done with Aurora Talentum <xf>.

Ooh, that looks good. I've been trying out blue-blacks and they're all too blue.

Oooh, I like that color. Aurora blue has always been a little to violet and bright for me, but this looks much better! I love Aurora's flow, so I may have to pick up a bottle of blue to mix with my black.
Thanks!

I'm with Ryan on this one. Time for a bottle of blue to mix with the black.
Very helpful review, too. Thanks for posting it.
Beautiful! Thanks for posting that - I'll have to try that this weekend.

This is great.
I just bought Waterman Blue Black and found it was more like the ideal blue I go for by mixing South Seas Blue with Black. I wanted a Blue with some grey in it. I may have to try this Aurora mix. I just became an Aurora Black convert. I bought some carts for a Parker and I was like "I BELIEVE THE HYPE!"

That is a very nice colour. I have a bottle of Aurora blue that I rarely use because of the purple tones but if I mix it with some black I will certainly use the result.
Did you mix 50:50?
Thanks,
Chris

Around 5 months old, my bottle of Aurora Blue/Black mix used for this review is starting
to show its inconsistencies with mixing. 6:1 ratio with the blue being the 6. Noticeably the
lubing properties are starting to disappear especially when used with my Aurora 88.
Some skipping and hard starting with the mix. Waterman Florida Blue, Aurora Blue and
Aurora Black so far are outstanding but some dry writing has also shown up with my
Talentum and Van Gogh using this blue/black mix. Mixing not recommended for
long-term use.

Thank you for the update. Sometimes we forget that mixing inks may lead to problems that don't appear all at once.

i stumbled back upon this thread after ive been using a mix of namiki blue and noodlers black for a while now and it looks almost exactly like that last pic, but maybe a bit more intense shading in mine [as it appears on my monitor]. its my 'perfect' blue-black ink and gets constant use.
