I bought this blue leather case a long time ago at Barnes & Noble because I thought it was very classy with the embossed handwriting - quotes from famous poetry. I never could find a use for this thing until I got re-acquainted with my fountain pens. I didn't want to just toss my pens in the case and have them clanging together so I made a pen holder to slide into this case.

Here's a picture of the case. The next post will have a picture of the holder I made.

I cut a piece of chip board the size needed to fit in this case and attached some thin padding. Then I sewed pockets for four pens out of blue printed fabric, attached this pocket section to another piece of fabric large enough to wrap around the chip board. I hot-glued it in place and finished the back with another piece of fabric.

It's nice to find a use for something that has just been taking up space. tongue.gif

I love it! Well done, Judybug!
Ashland
Congratulations on your ingenuity, Judybug.

Please tell us what pens are in the holder. I think I see a Duke, but I might be mistaken.

Thanks, Blueiris & Ashland.

The pens are - from left to right - Sheaffer NoNonsense, Duke Sapphire, Monteverde Invincia, and Waterman Phileas.
