Does this really look as red as it does on my monitor?

It is very different from the old Sheaffer Brown that I used a lot in the early to mid 1980s. The nearest I have found to that so far is Herbin Lie de The, which I'm using quite a lot now. It's a rich, mid-to-dark brown, but perhaps doesn't have quite as many coppery highlights as the old Sheaffer Brown.

What you see is what you get especially with this ink. It is almost an orange brown color.

I was looking for Shaffer inks in Slovenia, but there are none in retail stores. Last week I saw a bottle of ink in a plain package. It looks so simple that I overlooked it. I double checked it and found name of factory on it. I will call them and check if it is possible to buy a bottle.

angry.gif Shame on you Sheaffer, I do really like the old brown and maybe its gone forever.

Thank you for the tip on the Herbin.
