"Go talk to the enthusiasts at Fountain Pen Network!" That's the recommendation I received. With all the various fora on the Internet, why am I not surprised to discover FPN in my hour of need? Although I am not a collector, old pens just seem to appear and find a home on my desk. A lovely old Pelikan and an equally ancient Sheaffer reside atop my desk for the moments when a fountain pen simply must be used. Some old Cross and Parker pens are slumbering quietly within a desk drawer close at hand.

However, that's not why I registered to become a member alongside all of the enthusiasts here. My poor research skills finally forced me to seek qualified help for my quest.

I posted my request in General Pen Topics under the Writing Instruments category. The thread is entitled "Caduceus and Western Zodiac Symbols". If you have a moment, perhaps you'll peruse my request over in that area.

Thanks for the welcome Southpaw, Mike1, and Judybug. Since you asked, Southpaw, it was a clerk at Warwick's in La Jolla that referred me to the forum.

blink.gif I thin this is the first time I've ever read the plural of forum in a sentence. I gotta get out more...

I'm delighted to hear that Warwick’s is still open! I spent waaaay too much of my adolescence there and the Cove. Consider yourself both welcomed AND envied.
