Hello,
I am a collector but have just recently registered on this site.
One of the brands I collect is the Wahl Tulip Clip.
They are hard to find.
I registered on this site specifically because I came across your photo by accident and fell in love with this gorgous pen.
Perhaps you can give me some pointers on where Wahls like this "hang out".
I have a very good collection of other pens like Parker, and Kaweco, and Montblanc but my Wahl collection is woefully spartan since I never seem to find any.
Any tips.

I've had this pen for a few years. I originally purchased it on e-bay. If it wasn't for auction sites I wouldn't have much of vintage pen collection since they are almost non existant where I live.

The tulip clip model is one of the hardest Wahl-Eversharps to collect. Maybe it wasn't a big seller. The clips are often broken off and can't be easily replaced. Since they are welded to the cap band, even having a replacement clip is not much help. Some examples do come up on auction sites.

They at least came in two sizes. 4 1/2'' seems to be the largest with two different widths.

I also wonder if the pen was made is a fully covered gold filled model

Yes it helps very much.
I also am building a very nice collection almost all from auction sites, primarily Ebay.
I look for Wahl all the time.
If you are ever interested in selling or trading please let me know and i will be happy to negotiate. (I'm trying to build a small network of pen collectors so I can spread out a little with respect to where i can find more pens.) I collect Parker, Montblancs, Eclipse, Wahl, and kaweco.
