I just tried a sample of Lake Placid Blue, and I really like the color. I was wondering if anyone knew of a Noodler's blue that was a close match. What I'm really hoping is that someone has experience with the Noodler's waterproof colors (Noodler's and Swishmix) and can tell me if one of those colors, say Gulfstream Blue or Glacier Blue, is a close match to Lake Placid Blue by Private Reserve. Thanks.

The actual closest equivalent is the non-waterproof Blue. The waterproof colours are not as intense. Just important to get that out of the way first.

I have PR Lake Placid and Noodler's Gulf Stream. I would not consider Gulf Stream to be a close match color-wise. Lake Placid is a brighter, truer blue. Gulf Stream has some slate gray tones. In my experience, depending on whether the pen is a dry writer or a wet writer, Gulf Stream ranges from a light/medium to medium tone, while Lake Placid ranges from a medium to medium/deep tone.

I've seen the regular Noodler's Blue, and it is not a perfect match, though it's closer in color to Lake Placid than Gulf Stream is.
