Greetings from Salt Lake City.

Welcome, Renzhe!

You'll find lots of useful information here. I like Phileas, too. I have two - a medium and a fine. Enjoy FPN!

Welcome aboard. Good info here and as for not being fountain pen crazy, well that will more than likely change with time.

Am I pen crazy? I wouldn't say so. I have two Philéas.

We'll soon fix that!

Contact Waterman (1-800-BEST-PEN) and see about possibly getting that messed up Phileas repaired for minimal if any $. You may only have to pay shipping depending on the problem.

I've not used WM customer service but many pen manufacturers have good CS and if you like the pen, it's worth it to have it up and running (she says as she stares at her first-ever "real" pen, a green WM Phileas with cracked section.)

Do you think it's worth repairing a nib that's been bent one tine up and one tine down, and then bent back into shape with pliers and cursive-italicised with sand paper (because the tip was unusable)?

Here's how it writes.

Are you a budding nibmeister? That pen looks to be doing a pretty good job of putting down ink to paper.
