Another very nice review - thanks! Certainly looks like a true medium blue on my monitor.

Ditto on my monitor, Ann. In fact, it looks very much like Penman Sapphire that I have loaded in a Pel M75 GO right now. This GO is flowing at about 6/10 and only if I go to a
very wet writer will I get that purplish iridescence around the edges of the line that sets its fans into ecstasy.

I agree with your review entirely, except to replace "Didn't like it" with "Love the color".

In case you couldn't tell, I love medium blue inks. I just find them so soothing to the eye.
Comparing it to my favorite medium blue, Diamine royal blue, I find it flows faster and is a bit more finicky when it comes to paper. The color I find quite close , but not quite as pleasing as the royal blue.

Thanks for the review, Ann. Is this ink water-resistant?

Thanks for your lovely reviews, Ann, they are always such a pleasure.
If I remember, you've used Levenger's Skies of Blue--how would you say Antigua compares in terms of color?

Don, no unfortunately the ink isn't water resistant.
Sonia, Levenger Skies of Blue is closer in color to Diamine Sapphire than it is to this ink. This ink is lighter.

I bought this ink because of Ann's wonderful review. I agree with nearly every part - this ink is inexpensive and behaves very well. It flows generously and doesn't stain or nib creep. Even the feathering was minimal, although Swisher advised to be careful when using cheap tablet paper. On my notebook with recycling paper, I can observe minimal feathering and bleedthrough, but it's nothing very dramatic. Private Reserve Fast Dry Sherwood Green is much, much, much worse. And it dries very, very quickly, on cheap paper nearly instantly.
My only problem is the colour. On Ann's Scan, it looks like a bright medium blue which I adore much, but unfortunately my Antigue Blue in my pens looks a bit flat and not bright at all. However, it doesn't look too washed out and pale, but a bit grey and boring.

I've noticed Antigua Blue has stained my Jade Duofold.
Anyone else had this problem?

I don't recall that the Antigua Blue stained any of my pens, but the Nantucket Blue, another in the series of Swisher's inks, stained by light blue Esterbrook CH (purse pen). I did a review of the Nantucket, too, where I think I mentioned this.

A pretty shade of blue. I think I like Florida Blue a little better based on what I see here, but I am thinking about trying some Antiqua Blue soon. Thanks for the review. /Craig
