This pen is offered through the Pen Shop chain in the UK for £325.00 with only one choice of nib. I am able to buy it on line from www.pelikanpens.co.uk for £234.00 with a full choice of nibs. This seems a dramatic difference. I am wondering if they are genuine?.has anyone else purchased from this on line supplier?
Also how does anyone rate this pen, I am a left hander, your comments would be helpful

That's Ray Adams shop. I've bought from him and found him completely reliable.
I'm afraid I've only got experience of the 200s and 400s though.

Re Pelikan 1000
I have just this minute spoken on the phone with Ray Adams and he has agreed to send me a pen on appro. So we shall see.
If, as the above, is correct regarding him being reliable then this company (Niche Pens) could be the best kept secret in the Pelikan Forum

Niche Pens is where I have bought my two Pelikans, an M1000 in Black and a Piccadilly Circus, and several bottles of Pelikan ink The service you get from Ray Adams is absolutely top class and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services to anyone.
Prices are very good too and if you sign up for his monthly newsletter you can get some even better bargains - both of my purchases were at prices which were not advertised on the web site and which were detailed in newsletters.
