What's the correct id for this Lifetime? From 1920 ca, senior size, black chased hard rubber, 14kt clip and cap band. I've not found info about this pen on catalogue and advertisement. On the "89C Ebony Lifetime" the cap band is wider; what's the correct no.? Thanks!

That is a simply gorgeous pen and I believe it dates to the early 30's when the flat top was still being produced alongside the new Sheaffer Balance prior to this model's eventual discontinuation.

My guess is based in the clip shape which would be indicative of a later pen.

Just cruised by PT and Roger W dates this pen to 1925- and confirms that this is a B88C and is a late hard rubber model.

For the love of all that is good and holy, please do not tell me that you are going to be putting this pen up for sale anytime soon as I would have to pawn off a child to get it.
