There is a brandnew Lamy FP out on the market called 'smile'. I've seen it today in the major locals stationary shop. It has the same price as a Safari but only has the usual steel nib (uncoated) in common with it. The section is rubberized and has a somewhat larger, more ergonomic diameter than a Safari section while similar in shape. The barrel is alu, of simple design. The cap is light or dark blue plastic, with three moving rings below the plastic clip to achieve different smileys.
The design is certainly not as timeless as the Safari's.
