Is it possible to find the arrows that were on the Parker 61 Hood.... Penturner has a decent 61 missing the arrow... as apparently mor than a few of them are..
Also, do they just glue in place... it sure looks that way..

Tom,

There is a place over here where you can get missing arrows replaced. I haven't tried their service myself but this is their site:

http://www.pen-time.biz/Penrepairs.html

This seems to indicate use of two-part epoxy resin.

I might give them a try myself Ray, as I have a 61 with an arrow that is working loose.

I have a 61 user and I just filled in the arrow with gold modelers filler, but that was only an OK job not a real fix.

Griz, you have to decide if sending the pen over here and back is worth it, unless you can find a local guy who does the same job.

I just revceived one without it's arrow, too, this place does repairs:

http://www.penopoly.com/repairs.html

Not sure I want to spend $35 considering what I paid for the pen.....

The UK site I linked to above charges £8 for arrow replacement, which seems more reasonable.

Having read about missing Parker 61 arrows in this thread I sent mine off to http://www.pen-time.biz/Penrepairs.html to be repaired. I got it back today and have to say I am more than pleased with the result.

Everyone may not get the following treatment but Kevin (the pen repairer) found a hairline crack in the barrel which he also repaired and he gave the entire pen a thorough clean and polish and all this extra work was done FOC.

Thanks for the update Ian, I see he does Lustraloy caps too, might send him one of my eBay finds to see what he can make of it.
