Hi,
I just bought a M800 and M200 last week. I like the M200 very much, the nib is very smooth. However, my M800 feels very scratchy. These are my first two fountain pens. I am not sure if I should send the pen to Chartpak for repair/adjustment, or Richard Binder. What is your advice on this?
Thanks

What nibs do you have?

It's Fine nib.

I would do Chartpak first unless you want it turned into a specialty nib from Richard Binder.

If you bought it from Richard Binder then return it to him. Otherwise any good nib meister can smooth it for you. For the price of shipping you can send it to Chartpak and have it back in about three weeks from the day you sent it.

Thanks for the advice. I will do that.

Congratulations on the pens! Does anyone know if Chartpak actually tests nibs prior to sending them out?

I would like to assume, but I won't. I just recently got mine back and haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I wish my Sailor 1911 could find its way home as fast.
