Time for the last report for now. It is about 1Ks version of Nazareth 2000 by Delta. This was the first Delta FP with which I had contact. A happy coincidence that a couple of years after "meeting" it, I was able to retrieve this specific pen into my collection. This is the reason because it has a special personal added value and signification...

Delta NAZARETH 2000 1Ks Review

You're right about the difficulty in photographing the pen. I've tried several times with little success it seems that the greens wash away and the red browns seem to predominate.

Ha! do not tell anybody... but I may have found the way... give me some more time and I may change all the pictures in the review. I'll let you know.

It has been a frustrating experience, but it has to be used to learn and in this way get better results. Difficult does not mean impossible, I find it just challenging in getting the rich green shades out that are quite elusive. Perhaps it is a shy pen and keeps blushing in front of a cammera?

When I saw your pics before reading the writing I thought that I had a very different lot of material that mine was made out of but reading of your issues I looked back at the pics I had taken of the pen and saw a similar color shift. I know there must be a way as I have seen green pics of the pen.

I will have to build an oversize light tent for that job... don't mind, I will try to do it in a future, the idea has been floating in my mind for quite some time laugh.gif

That's for Tytyvyllus...

The pictures were taken with a Nikon D70. No way to extract the greens of this pen, no matter which was the light source, the white balance, the photoshopping work...
Now a D200 has arrived here and as you may suppose the first challenge for it was... guess it... the Nazareth. Yes, what a diference ! wow! . And, why? If I go down to pixel size, the green pixels on D200 are green and are sort of greenis-amber (more amber than greenish) on the D70. That is the reason, the different CCD. I cant find other reasonable diference appart from bucks  )

Looking at my pen I think mine is out of a different rod since I have much more green with less of the browns.

if I can find it I will post a pic as well.

Yip... thats sure, every pen is different and there must be quite a range of variation when the chip size is as big as the one they use in this resin. Now I can compare the pen with the picture and colours match... finally!!!

I've not seen any Delta pens up close and personal but your review has put that on my "want to" list.
Jopen
Even more dangerous than having a close look to them is to try one of their nibs, specially a Millenium type... I can tell you by personal experience... biggrin.gif

I went to your website and enjoyed very much your beautiful pens. They are alittle more ornate than I like but that is the wonderful thing about fountain pens, there is a pen for all tastes. The important thing is that you like them and use them.
