I love my postal delivery person. Today she left some goodies I have been waiting for....
First was a copy of Andreas Lambrou's "Fountain Pens, Vintage and Modern" that I got on eBay for $20 delivered.....

But here is the first of the two pens I got...
A very nice Green Parker 21 Super... it was advertised as a plain 21, but I was sure it was a Super.... gorgeous shape.. not a mark on the body or cap and a sweet wet writing fine nib.... and best of all $15.00 delivered.....
It took a bit to clean it out... 8-10 flushings followed by 3 sessions in the ultrasonic and another flushing.... it was filled with an ink that looked very much like Noodlers Navajo Turquoise, so that is what I filled it with....
I wish the danged ink would scan properly... the only good rendition I can get of Navajo Turquoise is to photograph it...

Congratulations on your new purchases. You have an eye for great deals.

Your photos are always great. Can you share with us your photography set-up? Are you using some sort of light box or something else?

Congrats on a nice 'new' pen, Tom.

I agree with Macuser, you take some of the best photographs on FPN, how do you do it? In the pen photography department, I need all the help I can get.

I do have a light box, but only use it when I have the time to set up and do a load of pens for my website..... In fact, I am overdue to replace the ones on my site now.. they were done before I got my Nikon....

The pics I post here are usually handheld with my Nikon D50.... My home office has real good natural light coming through and I usually augment that with the flash set at -1.... I also use daylight corrected bulbs in the ceiling fixture in the office... I find they are easier on my eyes....
They get cropped and sometimes color corrected and sharpened in Photoshop CS2...
That is about it....
