Decided to take a few pics today. Old Waterman's pens are some of my favorites both in form and function. I love the feel and look of the silver on the 452's. The variation in nibs available from Waterman.

From left to right: 52 1/2 w/flex M, 452 basketweave w/BB italic, 452 hand engraved vine w/F semi-flex, W3 w/B stub, and on top, 12 1/2 VP with a flexible fine.

Nice shot of some great pens, Jesse!
Were you fortunate enough to find any of them 'in the wild' (flea markets, garage sales, etc.) for a good price, or were they all purchased online (Ebay, pen boards, etc.) or in stores?

I thinking it's getting much more difficult to find pens the wild around here...Maybe I am not looking hard enough unsure.gif

Thanks Maja,

I have had very little luck finding pens in the wild, I thought I was going to get lucky when I went to an auction that had some very nice pens, but as it turns out, there are one or two other pen collectors in my area. Some of the pens still ended up going for amazingly low prices but I was pretty low on money at the time so I had to let them go. Still regret that De La Rue Magna that sneaked away, but that's a part of life.

As for these pens, the 452 basketweave and the 52 1/2 both came from the last NYC pen show. It is great to be able to try out the pens before buying but you still can't tell everything about the pens since the 52 1/2 is unbelievably wet so I barely use it.

The W3 and the 12 1/2 VP both came from Tor over on PT, very nice pens and the prices were very affordable, especially coming all the way from Hong Kong.

Lastly, my newest baby, the 452 hand engraved vine came from Terry Clark over on PT.

In a way, I am lucky that all of these pens aren't in the best condition and have some pretty noticable defects (thankfully not in the nib), otherwise I doubt I could have afforded some of them.
