Lets see this was about 3 months difference. From writing with super thin pens to Fountain pens. I bet my mom is happy, she always complain that i write ugly and small. Not bad for three months right??

ohmy.gif whoa. Your handwriting is beautiful. wink.gif

Wow, Mr. Moore! ( wallbash.gif Sorry Dudley, it's the only famous Dudley that I can think of right now) biggrin.gif

Talk about a drastic change! That's really impressive - I assume that the new handwriting feels as natural to write as the older one did? Or does it still feel a bit forced?

My handwriting has evolved too (note that I didn't say improved) over the last year, and it's small too, generally/before. Now, I think it may have gone slightly bigger but it's a very subtle difference, if at all, and definitely not as obvious a change as yours.

It's definitely easier to read than your old one. Congrats!

raf (who's too embarassed to post his own handwriting).

What did you do.
I have been practicing for longer than 3 months and I have not experienced tha drastic of a change.
My biggest problem is having the time to slow down

Your handwriting is very nice

What a dramatic change! Congratulations.

My own metemorphosis was similar. Not only was I writing far too small, but I was saddled with a hand writing script (Peterson Penmanship) that I could not use competently. I went back to using a fountain pen, and I learned the italic pen hand.

I will add that the ability to write small has it advantages. I do calligraphy projects that are quotes, some from the Bible, some from poetry, some from literature, and at the end of the quote I will write the source. I like to use a contrasting color ink, generally black, and a very fine nib to write the source in plain Roman script. The effect on paper is really nice. So keep your skill at writing small. It might come in handy.

Nice job, Dudley. A quantum change, like that, is not easy over a long time, let alone 3 mos. Congratulations!
Dudley
Thanks for the compliments. I'm pretty proud of it too, though my handwriting is still a little inconsistent. Using a fountain pen does feel more natural and it really does show. When using non fountain pens i keep the same form of handwriting but it just doesnt look/feel as nice.

I still like writing small though =P. i dont know why, but i like fitting alot on a page, and also i can write faster.

I would like to see some of you guys too!

and actually i think my dad did name me dudley cause of Dudley Moore hahah.

Beautiful handwriting!!!!

Superb job! Tremendous improvement - your hard work has both paid off and helped inspire some others to get to work improving their chicken scratch. blush.gif

southpaw, I've seen your chickenscratch around these parts, and you don't give it enough justice. smile.gif

I worked my way through the Write Now workbook, and it's terrific. I get a lot of nice comments about my handwriting. I work in communications, and it's part of my individual "brand" (hope this does not induce too much barfing, it's how we talk at work, my apologies) to be "the one with the pens." A reasonably nice italic hand just seems to go along with that.

Very nice. I like seeing the before and after. I, too, am working on consistency. Keep up the good work and I'd like to see how your handwriting progresses.
