No question, just a picture I found whilst surfing... Any comments? wink.gif

Mmm, is it a 200? Looks like a decorated gold nib to me.

I'm remembering seeing a pic of some special edition Pelikan that was sold in a case like a hollowed out book? Anyone got a better memory?

It certainly makes a change from the Stresemann.

Hmm, certainly looks like a M200 - single gold cap band so it could be from the 90's, no gold band around the barrel where the nib screws in, that's a M200 trait too... the nib is a Pelikan 14K two-tone... very nice overall, and what a pretty colour! smile.gif

Does the website you found the picture on not have any information about it?

Probably the limited run of 1,200 made for A. Walrecht publishers to celebrate their twenty-fifth aniversary and called the "Citroenpers." It looks like it has had the original gold plated steel nib switched out for a M400 nib. Pendominium was supposed to have a few a couple of days ago, but I don't see them on the site. With a run of 1,200 I would guess they turn up fairly often.
Michael Wright
Of course you're right, all of yous: it's a 200 with a swapped nib

And the Citroenpers was indeed the pen I was thinking of.

That looks so beautiful, I just wish Pelikan made more of that style in the low cost option!

When I saw the picture I though 200 with a swapped nib. I like the color - striking indeed!

There's some detail on the pen here. Mr Walrecht (I assume it was him) had some for sale at the London Pen Show a couple of years ago. We nearly bought some. Can't remember why not now (probably blew the budget on other stuff.....).

Looking at the picture on their site I now realise what is wrong with the pen in the picture posted above. The ring (originally black plastic on an M200) that holds the cap has been swapped for one off an M400, presumably to "upgrade" the pen to near-M400 spec. Very nice!

You guys really know your pens!! biggrin.gif

It is indeed the "Citroenpers" Pelikan M200, modified. The original steel nib has been replaced with a 14K M400 nib (although I'm not 100% sure about that) and it's original black clipring has been replaced with a gold-plated one.

I recently bought what are supposed to become two of these modified versions (one for red ink and one for blue / blue-black / black ink).

http://www.vulpennen.nl/merken/Pelikan/M25...troen_alles.htm

This penshop, P.W. Akkerman in The Hague (which should be known by anyone who ever visited The Hague and likes FP's, no relation), modifies the original "Citroenpers" pens to what you can see in the picture posted above. They deserve all the credit for the idea and the pictures etc. etc. I'll probably have my two "originals" modified there.

Best regards!

Yup - a bright yellow 200 (at 200 cost, vs. 400 cost) would make me happy. You can get the original still - with the 200 (gp) nib. But it's not at 200 cost. sad.gif it's very hard for me to justify a $150 GP-nib pen.

I wouldn't have guessed about the clipring being changed, though I could imagine it looking good with a black one as well.

Hi,

TWDpens, by the way, the ring is black chromium plated. Just unscrew it and drop it on the countertop and you will see. I thought it was plastic myself. smile.gif
