Hello all...seems with my time lately, I've been enlarging the collection with Pens that I've been meaning to put together, but never did. So, here for your viewing pleasure, is a Pair of Waterman's from the fifties: Oddly enough, both have wonderful stub nibs with a good amount of tipping. Enjoy!

Great photos of good pens! I also recently picked up a Citation with a great stub nib. These are vastly underappreciated pens, in my opinion.

That's an interesting cap on the grey Taperite, by the way.

The detail on that cap is really interesting, and I have yet to find a description of it anywhere. It has a gold clip riveted in place, true to Waterman form, and 13 engraved lines going from the bottom of the cap to just under the ball of the clip. they end prematurely at a width just a bit wuder than the width of the end of the clip, and at the bottom is a nautical star. I assume it has patriotic meaning, the thirteen stripes and a star and all, but no mention... here's a detail shot:



I did a bit of burning, and curves adjustments in Photoshop to bring out the features I was talking about
